Serving Up Savings at the Marietta Diner

The Marietta Diner follows in the great tradition of diners across the USA, serving a menu that offers everything from bacon and eggs to paella 24 hours a day. With thousands of guests coming through their doors on a daily basis the dishes can pile up quickly. ADCO Services, Inc. helped handle the load by bringing equipment knowledge and a recommendation that helped the diner save tremendously on water usage and money. On December 1, 2006 ADCO installed a new conveyor dish machine to replace the diner’s old dish machine. The new machine provides a savings of almost a gallon of water per rack which adds up quickly considering how many dishes are washed per day.

Water consumption was monitored at the Marietta Diner after the new machine was installed. In the first two years, over 1.1 million gallons of water was saved. To really understand the savings brought by this change, the Marietta Water and Sewer department provided the monetary rate the diner is charged for water usage. Overall, the new machine that ADCO installed saved the diner over $11,000 in water alone over two years - that’s a lot of paella.

Pasta Bella in Marietta, GA specializes in serving up fine Italian cuisine at their family grill. But in addition to racking up customer satisfaction those family style portions rack up the amount of water used in the dishwasher as well.
